How to get from Paris to Nice

With all the beautiful spots in Southern France going viral on social media you may be wondering how to get to Nice from other cities in France like Paris. There’s so much more to France than Paris and we highly recommend adding a visit to Nice to your trip. Here are all the ways you can get to Nice from Paris.

By Plane:

The fastest way to get to Nice is by plane with flights usually taking about an hour and half and averaging $120 to $220 roundtrip. You can find deals on budget airlines, but keep in mind there are 3 airports in Paris so the cheapest flights may be farther away from the city center. Also, don’t forget about baggage fees when comparing prices. If you book early enough a flight could be a similar price to the train.

By Train:

The train is one of the most popular ways to get from Paris to Nice.

There are 12 departures a day with the average trip taking 6 hours and 30 minutes. You can find tickets as low as 22 euros one way, but you can expect to pay 50 to 100 euros depending on when you book and when your departure is. Booking well in advance will ensure the best price. Also being flexible on departure date and time can help save money as well. There is a night train from Paris to Nice which is often a cheap option, but not the most comfortable as you’ll share a room with 5 other people. There are two uncomfortable triple bunk beds per room so unless you’re on a tight budget we’d recommend avoiding the night train.

Pro Tip: Create an account with SNCF and set up price alerts so you can be alerted to low prices for your trip.
